Nan Goldin

Recently I have been interested in photography that carries elements of painting and seriously considers lighting. Mainly referencing Painters like Edward Hopper and Alex Coville I began my search looking for Photographers. One of the unique ones I found was Nan Goldin. I really like her approach to photography that invites the viewer into intimate moments the she is experiencing. Though the moments are not staged she has a way of taking these photos that elevate them to the level of high art by mimicking painting composition.
